Distance learning platform for telecentre facilitators

Since 2005, Fundación Esplai (FE) has been developing distance learning tasks for telecentre facilitators throughout Spain, with the following objectives:

• To fulfil the training needs of facilitators working in Spanish telecentre networks.
• To sustain and endorse, through training, a facilitating model oriented to developing centres with a vocation for community service.
• To reinforce, through training, the participative and cooperative structures of Red Conecta, the telecentre network fostered by Fundación Esplai, as well as to serve the rest of telecentres and networks in Spain.

Ours is a cooperative working methodology, the main purpose of which is to train facilitators already working as such and who are knowledgeable on some of our target issues. The aim being to capitalize and boost Fundación Esplai’s on-the-net knowledge by training tutors in technical and methodological issues.

Our training activities are designed according to a global curriculum which tackles basic skills for telecentre motivators and which starts from training needs identified in telecentres.
